1950s 701 Jean - Seeger
In 1934, Levi's introduced the first five-pocket jean especially built for women: the 701. Made famous by the premiere American fashion magazine of its time, the 701 had a distinctly high-waisted, more curved fit. Today, Levi's has reproduced these glossy magazine-approved 1950s Women's 701 jeans stitch-for-stitch using premium selvedge denim. Made with a distinct high-waisted fit designed especially to flatter and finished with a cloth Levi's back patch. This selvedge denim was woven on a traditional shuttle loom, which gives these jeans a tighter weave for extra durability and creates the crisp, finished edge that sets them apart from the rest.
